16 week midwife apt

Just wondering what to expect really. I haven't actually met my midwife yet as she did my booking apt over the phone.

I had mine on Monday. Urine sample checked and blood pressure. General how you're feeling what supplements etc are you taking. Gave me an information sheet on fetal movements. Then she checked baby's heartbeat with the Doppler but I gather not all trusts do this so early. I have a high BMI and she found it straight away which was lovely to hear.

Mine was pretty short and simple. Did blood pressure and she checked the heart beat and some general questions and that’s about it. Oh and a urine sample I took in.

Oh wonderful, yeah I definitely will. My anxiety is getting better as the pregnancy goes on but the reassurance is always nice! Especially until I start feeling movements xx
