Can anybody help me , I've been on venlafaxine 150mg for 1year , I'm 39 weeks pregnant and midwife has only just told me baby could have withdrawal to this medication , she will have to be monitored.
Does this mean I will stay in hospital with her if so for how long ,? I've been overly cautious of this happening and have consulted my doctors consultant and the mental health team who have all said there's no proven risk to this medication , but now baby is being observed it causing concern that something might come up or not be right? Just don't want to be away from home longer then needed
Wondered if anyone had been in this situation?
Thanks again
Jess

I think it’s usually 48 hours from birth

That’s what I had to do when pregnant with DD1 as I was on sertraline then

Can you discharge yourself with baby? As I'm not willing to stay 48 hours as I've only got childcare available for 24
