Hi all first time posting here!
Period was due Saturday, tested on Tuesday with clear blue got a faint positive result. I was so happy I told my partner and we called to book our first appointment with m/w. I started bleeding on Wednesday afternoon went to a+e and the test at a+e was negative, which only puzzled me more. went home and took two first response tests both with faint + again. Thursday morning I woke to find a clot on my pad (sorry tmi) and the bleeding stopped by late Thursday night. I got two more tests and did one Friday morning with fmu which was a faint + and I've just done the other one this morning which also had a faint + now I'm very confused and can't help but feel gutted my lines aren't getting darker. What should I do? I don't want to waste anymore money on tests. Has this happened to anyone and they went on to have a successful and healthy pregnancy??! I will include a pic of the tests in order of when they were taken, first test at the top. Thank you for reading 😊

I'm sorry but it does sound like you are miscarrying to me.

I did have this and went on to have a successful pregnancy but it was a different pregnancy. It's very common for a pregnancy to miscarry so early on and they think it means that something quite serious was not developing correctly. It doesn't mean that you won't have a healthy pregnancy next time and most people do. Flowers

Hi thanks for the reply BertieBotts

I'm sorry to hear about your previous mc.
The reason I'm holding onto hope is that while I was pregnant with my first son 8 years ago. I didn't know I was pregnant until the bleeding started, went to hospital. they told me I'd miss carried but I continued to test at home and the tests were coming back positive after a trip back to hospital and a scan they confirmed I was around 5 weeks pregnant and may have lost a twin.

@emmzo91 I’ve had both good and bad outcomes with bleeding. My chemical which was somewhere in between 4-6 weeks started off with pink on the toilet paper which gradually became heavier over the space of two days. The cramps weren’t too bad - it was a bit like a heavier than normal period, had I not tested so early I may not have even known.

When I was pregnant with DD I had a small bleed (not spotting) between 6-7 weeks - it was browny pink and it was the first and last time I occurred - a scan at 7+4 showed all was well.

With my last pregnancy in May I started spotting at around 6+3 and actually had some dark red blood with tiny clots in it. Had a scan at 7 weeks and all was fine then unfortunately I went on to bleed again at 10 weeks nothing heavy brown/pink again but this time it was accompanied by backache and mild cramps and an intuitive feeling that it had all gone tits up. Unfortunately a scan revealed the the foetus had died at 9+3.

You never can tell and it’s an awful limbo to find yourself in. How far on are you and have you had anymore bleeding since the last time mentionedon your OP? I don’t think they tend to scan you unless you’re at least 6 weeks.

Sounds like it could be a chemical pregnancy, sorry. The downside to testing so early is that you are more likely to detect these very early miscarriages.

I would suggest giving it a good few days (ideally a week but I know it’s hard to wait that long) and then test again, hopefully you will get a stronger positive but if it’s a negative then at least you will know Flowers

Thank you so much for replying ladies!
My last period was 17th September , so if I was I'd be 4 weeks 5 days according to my app.
I haven't had any more bleeding since Thursday and I still "feel" pregnant 😣😣😣 The bleeding lasted a day and a half, although my normal period lasts 3-4 days and is very heavy.

I so want to believe that I'm pregnant, but I know in my heart that it's probably a chemical pregnancy.
I'm going to test again in a week, will update 💜
