How long after miscarriage did your periods return?

It's been about 12.5 weeks since my miscarriage at 9 weeks. Happened at 9 weeks too, I had a scan that was perfectly normal the same day, heart beat and measuring 9+1.

Why haven't I had a period again yet? I had forgotten how long it had been, since I have a 1 year old I'm running around with, until I sat down this morning and counted up the weeks.

Has anyone been in a similar position?

Have you don't a pregnancy test to check it's negative after the miscarriage?
Or have you done one recently to check for a new pregnancy?

I got my periods back straight away, I don't remember there being a gap.

I know from my first mc they were back straight away I think and after my chemical in June I ovulated and had my period as normal the following month.

I'm going through a mmc at the moment, been told baby not developing but has not flushed out as of yet. Hoping they return to normal after this too so would be interested to hear others experiences. Should be around 9 weeks baby only measuring 6.
