Anyone know if can take throat lozenges to help and if so which ones?

With the doctors being closed can't ask them, plus being allergic to penicillin they can't give me anything to help anyway. So used to just letting it take it's course.

All suggestions to help ease the throat pain are welcome x

Hi there; sending you hugs 💐 tonsillitis is awful.
Get yourself to your nearest boots pharmacy and ask them or you could ring the Maternity unit at your local hospital perhaps.
Hope you get better soon x

I’m sure any would be fine.

Ice is also good.

From what I remember you can't use things like strepsils (although I did have a couple when I got really desperate) but the non medicated soothers are fine. Probably best to see a pharmacist and ask them. Maybe you could use that throat numbing spray - but again I'm not sure if it is safe. Best to ask them.

Tyrozettes (not sure I've spelt it correctly) are sold in chemists and basically numb your throat, I'm not sure you can have them whilst pregnant though but ask.

I had laryngitis and chest infection recently whilst pregnant - be careful some strepsils aren’t allowed. I stuck to lockets or jakemans lozenges. Also drinking manuka honey and lemon may help soothe. I needed antibiotics in the end. Get better soon it’s horribke being ill and pregnant x
