How early can GD start?

I'm only 4 weeks so I've been referred to the epu but no appointments so far. I had GD with my son so I know I'm likely to get it again, but could I have it this early?

I'll phone the epu on Monday but at the moment I'm paranoid about what I eat. I don't want to eat too many carbs but then I don't want to eat too little... And DH and DS are wanting to order pizza tonight.

Dr Google gives mixed answers, including that high gl is most dangerous in early pregnancy.

It can occur at any time in pregnancy but most common in the second half. As you’ve had it before I’d just keep on eye on what you’re eating till you know for sure x
