I'm driving myself crazy here...

Our 4th son was stillborn in May at 36 weeks. We now feel ready to try again.
According to my ovulation app I should have ovulated on 4th and my periods are now late.
Thursday I done a pregnancy test and it was a very faint positive. Took another, it was the same.
Woke up at 4.30am Friday morning needing a pee so done another test but I'm my sleepy state I messed up the test and it was invalid. 7am I take another and it initially appears negative then a faint positive line appeared. Took another and it looks more negative but if you move it in certain light you might possible see another line.
Took another one yesterday late afternoon and there was that line again.
This morning, expecting to see a darker positive line. It appeared positive pretty much straight away then disappeared. Any ideas what's going on?

If you're pregnant it might be quite early still. I would try a different brand of pregnancy test... if the same, wait a few days and try again. This would then give some time for your hormone levels to raise a bit. Good luck :)

@twinky06 I have used a few different brands with so different results. I know I need to wait a few more days and retest but it is driving me mad. I just want to know either way. Thanks for replying.

Haha I would be the same so can completely relate. I'm super impatient myself!

If your period is late and you've had a positive test then you're pregnant. If you want to do another test then I'd wait as long as you can and then try the most sensitive test you can get.

Do you actually know when you ovulated (i.e. via temping or ovulation tests?) without additional data the apps only "guess" when ovulation occurs based on an average. So your period might not actually be late yet IYSWIM? Or you could be testing really early, hence the faint line. Do you have any pictures of your tests? Generally speaking a line with colour is a very good sign, but some tests are notoriously bad for giving false hope. I personally prefer FRER tests over all others as I think they are the most reliable and easy to read.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your son, I can't imagine how hard that must have been. I really hope this month you will be celebrating good news.

@WhirlingTurkey

I'm pretty sure I ovulated at this point. I had all the signs I normally get. I'm pretty in tune with my body in that terms.
The first tests look undeniably positive. The ones there after less so.
I am wondering if it's maybe a chemical pregnancy. I will wait to a little longer and retest.

Morning.

I just thought I would update. I got a further positive test, although faint and then negatives there after.
I have now got my periods so obviously not pregnant.
I never expected to get a false positive, especially so many of them.
It may have been a chemical pregnancy after all.
I feel so disappointed but I suppose we will just have to try again.
