I know I can't follow the Diet but would it be bad for me to still have the odd one? I have a craving for it and am rubbish at eating breakfast.

As long as you're having it aswell as a meal rather than instead of, I don't see why you couldn't?

Mumtobe193 · 19/10/2018 22:46

Also if you're rubbish at eating breakfast, I reckon you'd be better off having a slimfast shake as opposed to nothing at all.

Just check vitamin content ? I know there is something you can't have - is it vitamin a ?

bumblebee39 · 19/10/2018 23:32

Yeah vitamin a will check it. I know I had to stop taking cod liver oil X

I’ve had lots of the Weetabix on the go drinks for breakfast during pregnancy. The chocolate one reminds me of the taste of chocolate slimfast so would be worth a look :)

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 20/10/2018 10:01

It's got far to much vitamin A in for safely having in pregnancy, try the Weetabix ones or the fridge ones

bumblebee39 · 20/10/2018 10:29

I have some asda shakes too going to see if they have less vitamin a in them compared with slimfast. Hope I haven't done any damage was taking cod liver oil and on one or two slimfast as a day before I found out.

OMG! Slimfast vitality has 30% roughly depending on flavour, whereas ASDA ones are 55% each! How much vitamin a are we meant to have compared to normal? I still eat fish on top of that too but very little meat (just sausages or poultry once a week) X

Vitamin A is found in lots of things, you don't need to avoid it completely, as your body still needs it, just avoid things where it very high, such as liver. I'm not sure about the Vitamin A content in SlimFast.
