FTM, have a feeling my baby will come early an be big. Anyone have an intuition that was right? Or anyone have an intuition that was quite wrong? Xx

We knew all along our baby would be early. No idea what gave us this feeling we just knew. And so many other people kept saying 'you won't go full term' . Our son arrived 9 days early weighing 7lb 4oz. He's now 10 days old 😀

BillywigSting · 19/10/2018 16:14

Mine was a boy and late.

I knew he would be both.

RollyCow · 19/10/2018 16:16

Not quite the same but all through my first pregnancy I knew something was wrong (it was and I lost the baby at 3 months) but in my second pregnancy I knew everything was okay, and it was. Very strange.

firsttimemum090 · 19/10/2018 17:45

Thank you! Perhaps I should begin my mat leave sooner Smile

Anyone else? Xx

I knew all of mine would be big but I wouldn’t say it was intuition. Rather I knew all of my family carried big babies, that I had measured ahead throughout and the midwives had always said they were big. They were all ten pounders and this one is expected to be the same.

I knew I’d be overdue with them all and was.

I was convinced my DS would be a September baby as opposed to October. He came on 16th October, 2 days early so not in my case no Grin

However, currently pregnant with DD and as my second pregnancy have found I am pretty spot on with things because I assume I know myself a little better in a pregnancy respect.

firsttimemum090 · 19/10/2018 18:47

Ooh can't wait to see if I'm right. Quite keen to meet my little girl Smile

Anyone else??

Not quite the same but I knew DS was gong to be a boy before we found out. I just had a 'feeling'

TwittleBee · 19/10/2018 18:50

Felt like it have an early but healthy baby boy with lots of hair on his head. And yupp DS was born at 37 weeks at a healthy 7lbs 1 with plenty of dark hair on his head. Looked just how I thought in my head

SnuggyBuggy · 19/10/2018 18:52

I was expecting an overdue boy and got an early girl Grin

Rebecca36 · 19/10/2018 18:56

I didn't have intuition about size but had a dream about a little boy, round and fair, and he was. I told no-one about this in advance, on the contrary said I thought I was having a girl but really felt sure would be a little boy and I was right.

I've heard of others dreaming about their babies in advance and being right.

seeingdots · 19/10/2018 19:00

I had a feeling baby was going to be early. She arrived (after induction) at 42 weeks Confused

CobaltRose96 · 19/10/2018 19:23

Haven't had any thoughts about weight/gestation, but I was utterly convinced I was having a boy, but turns out I'm having a girl!

BrokenMachine · 19/10/2018 19:31

Oddly I had an intuition my DD would be born exactly one day early. Everyone else thought I would be overdue. I was right.

firsttimemum090 · 19/10/2018 20:55

Oh seeingdots that's my worry Confused

Just can't explain it but I have this deep feeling I've never had, mum's intuition?

Teakind · 19/10/2018 22:41

I thought I was going to be early and have a boy. She was two days late.

Milesy351 · 19/10/2018 22:49

I was adamant I would be early, would have put money on it with the amount of BH and aches / pains!! Yet here I am the night before my due date Smile and no sign of baby yet! Have also said all along it is a boy but probably have got that wrong too!! Just a waiting game now! Dreadful intuition!! X

Shapecutter · 19/10/2018 22:53

Yes, was being monitored for various reasons and woke one morning with such a strong feeling that dc needed to come out now.

Had an emergency c section later that day and the dr said dc was very lucky we could have easily lost him due to an issue with his cord.

My instincts have always been spot on since having children, freak myself out sometimes.

Newbie21 · 19/10/2018 23:18

I thought I was having a boy... I was right. I thought he'd be early... I was wrong - he was 2 weeks late. I had a month of Mat leave before he turned up.

attentionspan · 19/10/2018 23:25

I knew dd would be a girl, and as soon as I found out my due date I knew she would be born several days earlier than that, which was a significant date in our family - the anniversary of a close relative's death. I was right on both counts.

Thetimehascometo · 20/10/2018 00:14

Thought baby would be big and late.

34 weeker weighing 4lb... needless to say the newborn and up to one month clothes we had packed in the hospital bag did not fit her!

KateTTC123 · 20/10/2018 04:52

I felt my baby would come early; I even joked about it with several people. He came 2 weeks later at 29 weeks for unknown reasons. Sometimes you just know.

BillywigSting · 20/10/2018 10:19

@Rebecca36 my mum said she dreamed about a girl baby in utero who said her name was my name irl.

My mum and dad couldn't agree on a name at all and he agreed straight away to mine. This was in the early 90s so no knowing the gender until I was born too.

She said she 'knew' it was me in the dream.

Very bizarre

Pigeoncat · 20/10/2018 10:33

I think she’s going to be late. Nearly 35 weeks now so we will see...

Had absolutely no intuition about her sex. Was very pleased as I always wanted a girl first, I don’t know why.

firsttimemum090 · 20/10/2018 18:08

Ooh, can't wait to see how it turns out, do hope I'm right that she doesn't wait until 42 weeks, especially if she's as big as I think Blush
