Sorry if TMI - but I am having a very hard time with piles 😣 I used to suffer from this problem occasionally pre-pregnancy, but in the last week it's got so much worse. I tried the over-the-counter cream, applied it religiously, but I can't see any improvement. I am honestly terrified of getting bigger and giving birth naturally because - if I can't even sleep now due to the pain - what is going to happen then? Seeing my midwife next week, maybe the GP can prescribe something stronger....Sad

Yeah, go your GP as soon as you can. They should be able to help.

I had horrible piles towards the end of pregnancy and it was AWFUL. I couldn't sleep either. Used to try putting cold wet facecloths down there, which gave a bit of relief.

One thing that did help (in addition to Anusol, which was just about enough) was coconut oil. Yours sound more severe than mine, but if you have coconut oil in the house it might be worth a try.

If it's any consolation, mine cleared up as soon as DD was born (vaginal birth).

I'm in the same boat @Monipop84 , currently 18weeks and in the first trimester my doc prescribed magnesium sachets which have really helped to soften everything so pooping isn't so much of a problem. All the natural remedies I have tried didn't help, so deffo get something a little stronger, they won't prescribe anything which will hurt the baby. I'm going to ask about starting probiotic tablets again, I was taking them before pregnancy and they honestly worked wonders (the really packed, 20 billon tablets from Holland and Barrett).

Magnesium capsules, 3 litres of water a day and a trip to the GP.

I really suffered after I gave birth and was in agony for 2 months! You must feel awful

Sorry - forgot that you're still pregnant.
