Does folic acid make anyone else more sick?

I'm sure when I take my folic acid tablets they make me more sick. Like physically sick! I've missed them for a few days and although I still feel slightly nauseous I haven't been physically sick and I got to the point previously where I was being sick 5+ times a day. I'm 11+5 and I know you're meant to take them up to 12 weeks but I'm wondering if anyone else stopped taking them early as they made you more sick?

To be fair OP folic acid is not taken to stop you being sick. You’re sick because you’re in the first trimester of a pregnancy.
You’re so close to 12 weeks. Could you manage s couple more days? You have my complete and utter sympathy with the sickness! Mine lasted 36 weeks

Yes it did for me. It’s up to you when you stop - I stopped at 12 weeks as it is not necessary after that (and there is some suggestion that taking folic acid on an ongoing basis after 12 weeks may contribute to an increased risk in tongue tie). I can’t believe two days will make a great deal of difference but equally it is just a couple more days so you may prefer to stick to the guidelines

@SelinaMyers I can sympathise! I had it up to 24 weeks the from 32 till I gave birth with my 1st. That's why I'll try anything to make it stop this time round. Just seems strange coincidence I've missed a couple and feel better.

Yep, made me feel worse! I took it in the evening rather than morning as going to bed after helped. I stopped taking it after my 12 week scan (at 14 weeks), keep going if you can as it is an essential at this early stage.
