Hey guys, I'm unsure wether to sign up to the NCT classes.
Has anyone done them, would you recommend?
They cost roughly £200 so want to make sure they are worth it before we sign up

Thanks x

I think they are really good for making friends. The information given in the NCT sessions isn’t very balanced in my opinion but I still found them useful. My DD is nearly 17 months now and I still see people from my NCT class 2/3 times a week.

Great for making friends, terrible in my experience for presenting a balanced view of childbirth - but very dependent on your class leader I think. I'd recommend doing your own reading alongside. Worth the money for having mum buddies during mat leave though! My daughter just turned 2 and four of us from nct still meet up once a week at least.

Worth it for the friends and I did enjoy the classes. My partner got a lot out of it as he was clueless beforehand, he found it really valuable and reassuring.

Thanks guys, this is what I keep hearing, great for making friends, we're are signed up to the free NHS one and been told you learn the same but a lot more intense.

Would you say it's worth the money as I have a lot of friends due around the same time as me anyways x

I haven't bothered and just gone to the NHS classes instead. Everyone I've asked about it says the NCT classes are good for making friends but not much else.
