Tilted uterus affect dating scan?

Hi Ladies,

Just out of curiosity, has anyone with a tilted back uterus find their dates were out in early pregnancy?

I had a scan last week as I found out I was pregnant but didn't know how far along I was. They put me at 9 weeks tomorrow but it doesn't add up with my dates.

Obviously I'll find out more at the next scan but was interested to know if others have experienced this?

I have a retroverted uterus, it has meant internal 12 week scans with both my current pregancy and my older child and both times they haven’t been able to get a nuchal measurement due to the position of baby so I’ve had to have the quad test instead. Regarding dates this preganancy they have dated a full week ahead of where my last period date would have put me but my understanding is babies all grow at different rates and it’s just a baseline to allow them to assess growth going forward. As long as everything is ok with the baby I wouldn’t get too worried about dates. My first baby was almost a full two weeks late (41+5) and given ‘term’ is anything after 37 weeks and they let you go to 42 weeks there is a full 5week window! Good luck xx
