Hello

I had a BMI of 35.2 when I found out I was pregnant. For the first 12 weeks I have eaten quite healthy - mostly wanting veg and salad, but now it would appear my appetite is back to normal, and I'm considering following SW just to keep myself in check a little bit. Is anyone else doing this while pregnant? (I'm now 14 weeks)

Yen’s I’m doing slimming world. I’m 16 weeks and joined about 5-6 weeks ago after my booking in BMI was close to 29. I haven’t put on any weight yet so I’m pleased, I really wanted to avoid the excessive weight gain of my first two pregnancies. It’s quite difficult to wrap my head around the fact that I’m going to a slimming club where everyone’s hoping for a loss when they step on the scales, and my weight IS going to start going up. But that’s ok. I’m eating more healthily than I have done in years and am really enjoying it. I didn’t think my diet was that bad before joining but it’s helping me make much better choices. I can now safely put on a pound a week and be within healthy guidelines, but I’m hoping for a bit less than that. I’m finding it a really lovely, supportive group. I’m not being too strict, last week I craved orange juice like you wouldn’t believe and normally you’d be very limited to how much of that you could have, but I had it anyway. You get a bit more fibre and dairy allowance than other members too. I text the local consultant before I went along for the first time, and she’s lovely.

Is it a case of you have 2 A's 2 B's and still count syns? I'm looking for a local group that can fit around my two jobs, but struggling so may have to go it alone.
