Hi everyone. So today I’ve been having pain in my right side of my stomach. The GP thought I may be having an eptopic and sent me to hospital. I had a scan and the lady said I look about 5 weeks. She couldn’t say I was 100% pregnant until I have my bloods done again on Friday. But we was looking whilst she was scanning and she was pointing out the sac and what looked like a yolk with a shadow. Like an apple seed shadow. I’m gonna be worrying alway til Friday. They ruled out eptopic and said everything else was fine. Please can I have some positive stories of people who’s has scans at 5 weeks and couldn’t see much too? Thankyou x

I think it's normal not to be able to see anything more than a sack at 5 weeks.

Thankyou for your reply. Yeah she did say sometimes you can’t see much x

Yes i had a scan at 5+4 weeks after a bleed. They could see 2 sacs (suggestion it was twins) and what they thought were yolk sacs but they werent particularly clear. No heartbeats, I did get overall measurements of 10mm and 9mm and a suggestion that it was far too early to give me any indication - whether good or bad. They couldn't explain the bleed.

I had to go back 2 weeks later, so I was 7+4 and everything was fine.

I had this with my dd. I went back a week later and saw a happy flickering blob! The flickering was the heart beat apparently. Grin

Thankyou all so much. My bloods came back today. Only a 61% Rise. They prefer them to double by this stage but not all women’s do. I had bloods done at 7pm on Wednesday and 8am on Friday so it’s not actually 48 hours. Booked in for another scan on Friday where I’ll be 6 weeks and they should be able to see more
