Hi everyone !

I’m new to the board- due in April with my first! Feeling rough and sick every morning but starting to feel energy climbing back (at 13 weeks today!)

Went for our scan yesterday - any ideas about gender?? I’m very impatient! :D

Sex not gender.

I think any old wives tales about guessing sex are rubbish. Sorry! Hopefully you will find out at next scan.

And someone on these threads always comes out with the good old 'sex not gender line', don't worry about it!
I'm rubbish at guessing (I was convinced throughout my whole pregnancy I was having a boy and then my DD turned up ) but I hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

Also I did have some smiley faces in my last comment, but they've disappeared! :)

No one on here can tell unfortunately. Why don't you get a gender (😆) scan at 16 weeks? I did and it was accurate x

I can't not ask, I need educating...can someone explain why saying gender instead of sex is an apparent issue?

I've been saying gender not sex for years.

OP I'm rubbish at this but boy came into my head straight away but I have absolutely no experience in guessing genders...or sex... whichever

@Lilbear14 Sex is your biological sex, so for most of us on here, we are female. However, your gender is your role, ie what you identify as, so you may have a female who wishes to identify as a man.

Oh and as for smartie pants with the sex not gender comment if you book a private scan to find out it's a gender scan not a sex scan... people can choose to refer to it what ever way they like... the world is literally nuts at the minute people have to be careful with everything they say because there's idiots at the ready to nit pick 😂
