8.5 weeks pregnant & dare I say it...feeling ok?

I’ve probably jinxed myself now but just wanted to see if anyone else out there was feeling the same way.

I had nausea and one bout of sickness a few weeks ago but for the last couple of weeks, apart from tiredness, sore boobs and some twinges here and there I feel pretty normal.

I had a reassurance scan on Saturday and everything was great but still can’t help but feel I should be feeling worse!

Anyone else feel pretty good around this stage & go onto have a normal pregnancy ?

I can’t vouch for the whole way through yet, but I had constant nausea that suddenly just stopped at 8 weeks, which worried me a lot - I’m now 14 + 4 and had my scan at 12 weeks and sure enough there baby was wriggling away.

I felt fine during my first trimester and didn't have any nausea at all. I was more tired than normal but that's about it but I too was worried that I should be feeling worse. Embrace the fact that you are feeling ok and are able to go about your normal life, I wish I had as now at 30 weeks i'm exhausted and suffering from SPD!

Thanks for your replies ladies.

Don’t get me wrong I’m so grateful that I’m feeling this way, just wanted to check it was normal for some as you just expect to be feeling a lot worse.

Long may it last Grin

I felt mildly nauseated on occasion for a few weeks at most, never vomited and have felt great since about 8/9 weeks. I'm now 37 weeks and have had a very enjoyable pregnancy. Smile It does happen, people just like to tell you horror stories!

Yeah I had the mildest of nausea here and there at the beginning, but no sickness or anything bothersome. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it didn't so you might be in the clear!

Very same as you OP. 9 weeks and feeling fine tiny bouts of nausea which dont last and definetly more tired bit otherwise feel totally normal. It freaks me out at times and ive had a scan and seen a heartbeat but still worry. I'm just gonna embrace that I feel good i think

chloechloe · 17/10/2018 13:07

It’s just as normal to feel well as it is to feel ill! Enjoy the time and hopefully it’ll stay that way! It’s a bit of a strange time though as it’s hard to believe you’re actually pregnant when there are no visible signs!

I’ve been really lucky in that I’ve never had any pregnancy symptoms in the first trimester other than being tired. All turned out well. I’m currently expecting DC3 and didn’t find out until 12 weeks gone!

I'm not quite as far on as you, at 7+1, but I've had virtually no symptoms either - just very sore breasts and occasional and vey mild waves of nausea which soon settle after eating something light. I'm fully aware full-blown sickness could occur at any moment and yes, I, too am worried that something is amiss, but I have my first scan at 9 weeks on 31st October and am clinging to that!

Hoping you ladies get an easy/ier ride!

I am so glad I found this thread! I am 8+3 and since 5+2 to 7+6 I had morning sickness everyday without fail (the feeling no actual sickness) had a scan at 6+1 and everything was fine, saw the heartbeat and everything. After previous miscarriage it was a strange sort of comfort having the morning sickness so I have been very worried now that it has disappeared. My boobs are still sore which makes me a little less worried but from what I have seen online so far it appears it can be fairly normal and people still go on to have healthy babies so hopefully we are like those lucky ones!

I'm 21 weeks today and have felt fine all the way through. A little more tired than normal in the first trimester for a week or two, and felt sick for a bit (wasn't sick though) but apart from that I've felt fine. If anything, I feel like I have more energy now than I ever have. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that it will continue!
