I’m 28 weeks and I’ve never felt my little girl move, hospital saying it’s because my placenta is at the front but surely by 28 weeks there should be some kicking I could feel. Midwife seemed very shocked when I told her and booked me in for scans every 4 week she but I’m still very worried and on edge on the time as I can’t moniter her kicks etc..

Did the midwife listen to the heartbeat? If you're worried, ring triage and they'll do a CTG to check baby is ok.

I'm sure someone will be along in a minute who has experience of this, but my advice would be to ring if you're not happy!

Congratulations on your pregnancy

Hiya,

I'm currently pregnant with dc2, and with ds1 i had the same as you!
Looking back now I can really see how much i didn't feel the first time round compared to this pregnancy where the placenta is at the back.
I went in twice to be monitored as I just hadn't felt anything for days - once around 28/29 weeks and again at 32.
If you are feeling anxious I would give the unit a call and they will probably ask you to come down and be monitored. It should put your mind at rest until your next scan, and hopefully by then you will start to feel a few light flutters. xx
