I’ve just come back from my 34 week check up and the midwife said I’ve measured high on the chart and looks like my baby has had a growth spurt in 2 weeks. She said she’s not too worried as it could be nothing but then she rang ultrasound and asked for an urgent appointment for me. Should I be worried? She also asked if I’ve had a glucose check which I haven’t. My scan is booked for Thursday but she’s got me worried now. My last too measurements were in the chart lines but this time it has increased way outside the chart lines! Sorry for the long post.

Hey, I had a growth scan when I was roughly 35 weeks with DS1 because I was measuring big. The consultant at the scan terrified me, telling me I was in for a difficult labour and would most definitely have a 9-10lb baby Shock.

I spent the rest of my pregnancy worrying about it. When I did give birth. It was 1hr 30 and my baby was 7lbs 6oz lol. Don't get too hung up of the scan, they aren't incredibly accurate at this stage of your pregnancy, and worrying did nothing for me.

Hope this helped with some of the worry, I'm afraid I can only give you my small experience. But I was told the scans aren't incredibly reliable towards the end of pregnancy Smile
