Nappies to stick up

I have read to expect about 10 to 12 nappies a day. So was planning to buy two weeks supply of size 1 and size 2 nappies.

Wondered if I should buy more though. Look for what others did.

Sounds fine. I personally wouldn’t buy too many as the brand might not suit or whatever. By a week or two in you will be fine to pop out for more (or get a supermarket delivery)

Thanks I didn't want to buy to many but also know I might not be up to going out much for the first week or so as it will be Christmas and New year. Well if he appears on time.

All the nappies I bought/obtained were initially too big. Luckily I got a couple of samples of smaller ones 5 days after DC was born, and as they were from a nearby shop I ended up buying those to use for just over the first 3 weeks.

Other people I spoke to had difficulties with the shape of particular brands not suiting their baby.

So my advice would be to buy a pack - size 2 packs are frequently 44-56 nappies - of each of the shop is nearby, and only if they suit when your baby is here then go and stock up on them. (Or send someone else to buy you some.)

Btw Pampers reckon you need 8 of theirs a day for newborns and it goes down to 5 when they are older.

Maybe pick up a pack of size 0 just in case?

Yeah my little man was measuring 3lbs 13 at 30 weeks but do have another growth scan at 36 weeks so I was just discounting size zero but could pick up a small pack
