Growth Chart Measurements

I'm 27+3 today and had my first bump measurement taken of 29cm.

My baseline (50th centile) for how many weeks I am is 27cm.

Although I'm not panicking just yet about whether I'll have a big baby or not, I'm just curious as to what people's initial measures played out along the lines and what the end result was?

I'm not a petite lady necessarily and my DH is a 6'5" broad giant, so I think they'll be big either way!

I measured exactly right with DD and she was 7lb 01oz at 40 weeks exactly.
Second pregnancy I measured 1 cm over the expected size all the way through. He weighed 9lb 5oz at 41 weeks.
In my third pregnancy I measured big for dates. I had growth scans, and was found to be polyhydramneous (sp?) by 30 weeks I was measuring 40cm and by 36+6 weeks my bump was 71cm. Thankfully he was born at 37 weeks weighing 9lb 0.5oz.
During my 4 pregnancy again I measured big and was told this baby would be well over 10lb. He arrived at 39 weeks weighing 8lb 4oz!

Measured exactly right with DD1, she was 7lbs 12oz. Measured 2cm under with DC2, 8lbs 8oz

Current weight estimate is around 3.3 lbs.

Bump measurements depend on the person who measures them so are subject to the measurers individual variation.

There’s so much that bump measurements don’t capture! With Ds I measured smack bang on the 50th centile the whole time. He came out at 39 weeks at 9lb 12oz! It turns out my fluid levels were really low so my entire bump was made up of baby!

My bump measures small every time it’s done and growth scans suggest a perfectly average sized baby. Bump also looks enormous to me!
