Get tubes tied during c-section-: yay or nay? (don't want any more dc after current pregnancy)

Pregnant with current dc3. Owing to medical reasons this needs to be my last pregnancy. Initially I presumed I'd get my tubes tied (I know I'm due to have C-section owing to medical reasons), however, I've started reading about it and the side effects seem pretty rubbish e.g. chemically induced menopaused and difficulty lactating (I plan to breast feed, and am not willing to compromise on that. I've bf twice before, never had any issues with milk production).

Do lots have people have side effects after getting tubes tied and they just don't talk about it?

I’m confused, why would tubal ligation cause menopause? It shouldn’t make any difference to your ovaries/hormones! I’m not aware of any effect on breast feeding either.

My mum had hers done after me (at 37) and didn’t have her menopause until 50s, so there’s no truth in that at all.

The only complication I was warned about is that it has a slightly less success rate - something like 95% instead of 98%. I didn’t experience any of the side effects you’ve mentioned. Can see no reason for earlynindyced menopause since your ovaries are still there and intact.

You don't get an early menopause - where on earth did you get that idea. You just stop being able to get pregnant. it's a good idea to get a ligation during your c section, saves another surgery later.
