Hi, wondering if someone can help me please. I’ve now done 5 pregnancy tests, and only the 2nd one came out positive. (The first I wasn’t sure about). The line was faint, but definitely there. But the others have all been negative. I’m really confused, don’t know if I’m testing too early.

I have irregular periods, so not sure when I’m next due, but it’s been 24 days since sex. I don’t know if this is too early because i’m new to this. I don’t know what to do as I would need to stop my medication if pregnant, so therefore need to know asap so as not to harm the baby. Thank you in advance

Are you using First Response? Posters here have said previously they are the most accurate. I've always used clear blue but I know people don't rate them as much. X

If you haven't had sex for 24 days it is definitely long enough to know. False positives are very, very unsual. The only problem really could be misreading the test - Clearblue are notorious for not being clear in particular.

Second the suggestion to get a pink dye test or a digital test. Probably best to contact your GP if the medication is a big concern, they can do a blood test.
