Mayday Birth Centre

Does anyone have any experience of Mayday Birth Centre in Croydon? I'd heard that the hospital itself wasn't brilliant, but that the BC was a lot better. Any idea?

Hi there - I had my baby at Farnborough Hospital, but there were lots of mums in my pregnancy yoga class who had their baby at the Birthing Centre at MayDay and the general consensus was good - obviously being a Birthing Centre, I believe you can only have Gas & Air?

I'm a user rep at Mayday so I talk to loads of women who give birth there and know many of the staff. The midwife led unit gets FANTASTIC feedback TBH.... I've not spoken to one person who's used it (yet) who's been less than delighted with the care they've had there.
