So found out I was pregnant on Monday (af 10 days late & previous neg hpt) started bleeding yesterday: pinkish / red blood. Heavier than spotting but much lighter than normal af. Very slight cramping but still having food aversion and occasional nausea. EPU won't scan until the 29th and are suggesting it may be ib. This is my fourth pregnancy (1 prior mc 8 years ago) so I'm dubious. I'm trying to face reality but a small part of me is clinging on to this small hope. Just really wanted to share. I'll do a hpt in a few days and I guess by then I'll know. Just absolutely devastated.

Hi hun I am keeping my fingers crossed for good news for you. Sometimes it's perfectly normal to bleed in early pregnancy, during plantation, just your baby and body settling in. Also sometimes you bleed as your body is trying to adjust to not having periods. Try and stay calm as stress could make it worse. I really hope you get some good news x

Ange211 · 13/10/2018 07:01

Thank you. I'm really not hopeful. The blood has turned to a pink mucousy consistency.

A lady on another thread I'm on was rushed to hospital on Thursday with a very heavy bleed turned out she has a low lying placenta. Pregnancy is such a stressful time and these babies do like to worry us, I will keep thinking of you and hope you get some good news soon.ive been in this situation before where the news wasn't good so if you need to talk I'm here x

physicskate · 13/10/2018 08:49

But this early, he placenta hasn't developed yet...

Agreed it's too early to count yourself out - pregnancy is a very worrying time (or it can be I'm finding), but sometimes early bleeding is normal and fine. Sometimes it's not. The only way to tell is with time. Be kind to yourself.

Singlemummyto5 · 13/10/2018 09:18

Hi sorry if I confused you, I know the placenta won't have developed yet I was just trying to explain there are many reasons for bleeds and it doesn't always mean the worst x

So the saga continues: EPU asked me to do a hpt & phone with result. Bought a couple of tesco digital so I wasn't faffing about imagining lines that aren't there. Both tests have technical errors. I'm so disappointed & going to have to wait another day for some closure.

Oh huni I am so sorry you are going through this, are you still bleeding?

Ange211 · 15/10/2018 09:05

Actually no, that has stopped. So that's something at least.

Try and look at that as a positive then, if there have been no big clots baby could be hanging in there. I finally have my booking in appointment tomorrow, although I think I may have mixed up my dates and could be 19+2 now, panicking just a little now lol x x

Ange211 · 15/10/2018 10:59

It's been fairly light bleeding, not like my normal af at all but certainly heavier than anything you could class as spotting. In my heart of hearts I'm fairly sure I've miscarried I just don't feel pregnant and I did with my previous pregnancies. Such is life. Best of luck with your babba & thanks for your responses it really has helped :) x

Will you let me know one way or the other? I'm still hoping for some good news for you x x

Ange211 · 15/10/2018 16:03

Sadly it wasn't to be this time. Miscarriage confirmed this afternoon. Gutted but have my two other 'babies' to keep my smiling. Best of luck with your baby x
