Hi, I’m looking for some advice really. I found out last Saturday that I am pregnant I did a clear blue test and it said I was 1-2 weeks pregnant I went to the doctors she said this was correct and would make me roughly 4 weeks pregnant. So fab news! We’ve been trying for years! However I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies and found out at 6-8 weeks with both I had no pregnancy symptoms in these pregnancies.. this pregnancy when I first did the test it was very faint, I did another test about 3 days ago and was still very faint I did a test today and the line was very dark and came up straight away. Is this a good sign? I’ve had lots of symptoms this time I’ve had very sore boobs, tiredness, nausea, very mild cramps but no bleeding or anything like that. But because of my previous experiences I am very nervous, does all this sound very typical for an early pregnancy? I have a early scan in the 22nd but it’s a whole week away!!! Thanks so much for any advice xxxxx

Hi unfortunately I can offer no advice on the eptopic aspect as I've never experienced this however, I am currently expecting my 5th baby and the symptoms are completely normal especially for this stage. I have felt sick constantly since 4 weeks (I'm now 15+2) I'm so exhausted all the time I just want to go back to bed as soon as I get up lol cramps are also normal it's just everything settling in, so all sounds positive. Congratulations hun x

MicheleWeinberger · 12/10/2018 22:38

I had ectopic pregnancies before my now 3 year old and your experience sounds just like mine. Faint tests until about 5 days late when it was very dark. With my ectopic they were always quite light and the pregnancy symptoms would come and go.

So yes sounds like positive signs to me. Try to relax and not overanlayse every symptom. Focus on something else. If you can.

MrsVBabyV · 12/10/2018 23:04

Oh my goodness thank you both so much! You have no idea how good it feels to be reassured it's all sounding normal.. all I've known when pregnant is pain and sadness so I'm really excited to have my scan on the 22nd feel a little less anxious so thank you, thank you, thank you xxxx

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed too for you. Really hoping my first scan wont be too long, I only found out a week ago and I'm struggling to book in, I'm so excited to find out the sex haha x x

MrsVBabyV · 13/10/2018 22:18

I would say if the lines are getting darker your hcg is getting stronger and having all the symptoms sounds promising aswell 😊 I didn't have any really so I didn't fully believe I was pregnant until my scan. Anyway congratulations 🎉🎈 xx

MrsVBabyV · 13/10/2018 22:30

Aww thank you, I also did another one of those clear blue week indicator tests and it's gone from 1-2 weeks a few days ago to 2-3 weeks tonight so I am really positive that it's all going in the right direction. I'm just wishing it was the 22nd this coming Monday! The coming week is going to drag so bad!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@MrsVBabyV Oh my gosh I know the feeling hun, when I first found out I was roughly 5 weeks And the days just dragged by soooooo slowly. But since my 12 week scan the time seems to be flying 😂 two weeks on Tuesday I find out what I'm having and I'm so excited 😁💙💗 xx

Singlemummyto5 · 13/10/2018 23:01

I will let you know as soon as I can, because I found out late it does mean I will probably only get one scan 😔

MrsVBabyV · 13/10/2018 23:04

@Unicorn234 oh my gosh I bet you cannot wait!! 💕💙 we aren't sure if we will find out but I know how impatient I am so probably will.. I just hope on the 22nd baby is in the right place 😁😁 I've never been so anxious 😂

MrsVBabyV · 13/10/2018 23:05

@Singlemummyto5 oh really! I didn't realise that, so after 20 weeks do you not get anymore scans? xxxx

Unicorn234 · 13/10/2018 23:08

@MrsVBabyV before my scan i had it in my head that there wasn't going to be a baby in there as I had been feeling fine, only sick a handful of times. Anyway it came to the scan and nothing came up straight away, even the sonographer lady was like 'ermmmm' my heart was beating ten to the dozen and then finally the baby appeared on screen, I had drank too much so had to go and have a wee 😂🙈 after that everything was fine, was so amazing watching the baby move and stretch around 😍 xx

Newbie21 · 14/10/2018 07:27

@MrsVBabyV all sounds very normal for early pregnancy and it is really positive that your HCG levels are going up. I haven't had an ectopic before but I've had one full term successful pregnancy and one MMC at 11 weeks. I'm pregnant now - 2-3 weeks on the CB test and I'm so nervous about how things are going. Just praying the HCG levels are climbing. I had no symptoms with any of pregnancies particularly - not in the early stages so not having any now I don't know what to think. Part of me is desperate to experience morning sickness to prove I'm pregnant but I can bet you if it comes that thought will be regretted.

I'm wishing you lots of positive vibes for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Congratulations.

MrsVBabyV · 14/10/2018 10:23

@Unicorn234 it's so strange but I've had no thoughts like that I'm fully expecting to see a baby on my scan in the right place my husband thinks I'm mad he's being very cautious about getting too excited because of our previous history but I've said to him I feel so good and I'm so positive especially now others have said my symptoms are all normal.. even though I'm feeling sick and absolutely knackered and peeing ALL the time haha I am so happy and feeling fab 😁

@Newbie21 I must admit although I've been worried about the aches and pains and the sicky feelings etc I am so glad I'm experiencing them I've been feeling this way for about 2 weeks now so I'm hoping when I go for my scan I'm a bit further along than we first thought 😂😂 I bet you'll start to feel nauseous soon and wish you'd not mentioned it 😂😂 congratulations to you also xxxxx

Most pregnancy's you only get the 2 scans, you may get more because of your history, if baby is measuring small, breech or they have other concerns you will be offered extra scans though. I managed to speak to the midwife this weekend and they said they will try and fit me in before Friday, you would think at almost 16 weeks I would be a bit of a priority but they seem in no rush lol I'm getting impatient now x x

MrsVBabyV · 14/10/2018 17:37

@Singlemummyto5 oh my goodness I hope they can get you in before Friday how exciting 😍😍 I really hope I get more than 2 so I can see more of my rainbow baby 🌈👶🏻

Singlemummyto5 · 14/10/2018 17:53

I really hope so too, I'm desperate for an exact date. I looked into private scans but they are around £60 which is way out of my range, Im getting impatient now though lol

MrsVBabyV · 15/10/2018 15:36

Good thing is you know that it will be this week I doubt they'll let you go much further without having a scan xx although I'd probably have booked private just because I am soooooooo impatient 😂😂😂 maybe during the next 6 weeks I'll pay for another scan if I can't hold out 😂😂😂😂

Singlemummyto5 · 15/10/2018 15:47

I finally got a call from midwife today, got my booking in for the morning so really hoping for a scan by the end of the week. I really wish I could afford a private scan but with Christmas fast approaching and 4 dc to buy for it, it's a bit tight right now lol I had a bit of a panic this morning as I think I've messed my dates up Hmm so I could be almost 20 weeks, baby brain is confusing me haha x x

MrsVBabyV · 17/10/2018 09:30

@Singlemummyto5 sorry for late reply hope your appointment went well yesterday and you get your scan through soon! I had a really sharp pain in my right side yesterday morning and panic set in! Managed to go back to sleep and when I woke up it felt like a pulled muscle as the day went on I felt fine, not even the pulled muscle feeling 🤷🏻‍♀️ so bizarre... so now I cannot wait for my scan Monday!! not too much longer to wait thank goodness

Singlemummyto5 · 17/10/2018 09:44

Yesterday went well thank you, all booked in got a scan for next Wednesday, getting excited now lol glad your feeling better today, the aches and pains that come with pregnancy are a pain in the backside lol I've got cramping all over today, just want to sleep haha let me know how it goes Monday

MrsVBabyV · 17/10/2018 09:56

Oh brilliant I bet you cannot wait! Shame they couldn't do it this week but at least you know when it is now 💕💙 I dwas my think I'll ever get used to these aches and think they're normal haha I get so paranoid, I did feel a bit better when I initially came on here but now I'm getting very anxious but then again that could be because Monday is approaching and it's either going to be all my dreams coming true or an absolute nightmare! 🤞🏼🌈👶🏻
