Hot water, as hot as you can stand, drink it as fast as you can.
Make yourself do a false burp and keep doing it, and eventually you’ll do a real, massive burp that’ll really help
Sit up straight with your legs crossed in front of you like you’re in primary school assembly
I’d say lie on your front but probably you can’t if you’re pregnant
Just move about generally. Even walking around will help
Good luck!

You can lie on your left side with your top leg bent and the bottom leg straightened. That works for me.

I’ve also known people to go on all fours and rock back and forth to release the gas.

It’s horrible, I know :(

Have your lower back rubbed in an anti clockwise direction, sometimes I need it a bit rough so it rocks me to get it moving. Just keep moving

ginandnappies · 12/10/2018 20:55

On all fours, as low to the ground as your front can go and stick your bum in the air. Really works! X

coffeekittens · 12/10/2018 22:32

Peppermint tea, I’ve been suffering today and this has really helped.

butunlikely · 12/10/2018 22:35

Agree with @ginandnappies - on all fours with bum in the air is undignified but works!

RonniePickering · 12/10/2018 22:35

Yes to peppermint tea, and down on all fours, bum in air.

Babbaganoush · 12/10/2018 22:52

What @SlowlyShrinking said....drink water as hot as possible. Also try all 4s with your bum in the air and rock back and forth. Hope you feel better soon, trapped wind is horribly painful.

Definitely the bum in the air thing. And wiggle it in a figure 8 too.

And eat pickled things. Vinegar helps with bloating. Might explain why pregnant women are disposed to crave gerkins!

Nomad86 · 13/10/2018 14:51

All fours with bum in the air or on your back and bring your knees up (depending on the size of your bump)

OutPinked · 13/10/2018 17:11

Another one for getting on all fours, try stooping your head close to the bed while your arse is up in the air- glamorous I know Grin.

Peppermint tea is good too and I tried deflatine rennies which are purely for trapped wind, they worked ok.
