Coil fitted but pregnancy symptoms

I've had the mirena coil for 8 months. This past week I've been having pregnancy symptoms, I have a little one already so know the feelings are similar. Wondering if it's actually possible that it's failed and if anyone else has been in my position? I've done 2 tests but both negative.

Test again in a week. If still negative, you aren't pregnant.

I have a saying: pregnant enough for symptoms is pregnant enough for a positive test.

It's not unusual to get weird symptoms on the coil (or the pill, or depo, or the implant). Hormones,eh?

I only had the mirena for four or five months, but honestly thought I was pregnant after that time on it, and took a test too, it was also negative. I've since had the copper coil fitted and now don't have any of that, they say that the mirena only produces a tiny amount of hormones, but for me it really messed with mine

Probably hormones. My first mirena cook was amazing, this new one of a year now isn't so good , get both pregnancy symptoms and periods of a sort at regular intervals
Testvin a week but it's more likely hormones famous last words Hmm

Though if they're offering mirena cooks I'll have one too please 👍

Thank you for the messages! Puts my mind at ease having the help and support. I shall let you all know the results when I next test. Smile
