Sorry if this is confusing and long 🙈

About 1 week ago (at 8dpo) I got a very faint line on a pregnancy test. I then had faint lines on lots of tests (honestly did about 20 🤣) but they weren’t getting much darker so I assumed I was having a chemical - I’ve had one before. I then started bleeding 3 days ago and so far it has been a normal period, fairly heavy bleeding just without any cramps.
Yesterday (CD2) I decided to test see if the faint line had gone yet and I got a blazing positive test!! The strongest positive I’ve had this week. I did three more tests to check today - and they’re all 100% positive! how can my hcg be increasing if I’m bleeding? I will be phoning the doctors on Monday for a blood test but in the meantime I just need someone to calm me down. I’m freaking out (in a good way!) but also worried that I’m having yet another miscarriage.
I have pregnancy symptoms and I’ve been pregnant a few times so I can tell! Feel sick and beyond exhausted.

I also had a TFMR over 10 weeks ago. I was 14 weeks pregnant. Could that be causing bleeding if I am pregnant again? Clutching at straws now!
Thanks so much to anyone who takes the time to read this and reply! X

Forgot to add - as I can’t phone dr till Monday could I phone the EPU in the meantime? If I’m pregnant (and not miscarrying) then I could be 4 weeks or I could even be 8 weeks. I had positives before my “period” last month and stopped testing when af arrived. I’m now wondering whether that was an actual period or not!

I know our EPU wouldn't see you without a referral. You would have to check with your local one to know their procedure.

It's horrible but nothing can be done to prevent a miscarriage so if you can your best to try relax at home.

You say you started the positive tests at only eight days post ovulation - have you missed your period yet?

I would ring your GP Monday morning for guidance.

I'm sorry I have no experience or advice to offer just wanted to acknowledge your post. The is whole pregnancy business is emotional beyond belief. I hope you are pregnant and all goes well x

I realise it's so much easier said than done though.

If your at all concerned and have the number then give them a ring.

They can at least tell you the correct route to takenso come Monday you know what your doing.

Wishing you the very best of luck @hayleyfx x x

Thank you both. I’ll ring EPU tomorrow and see what they say.
I’m currently 15dpo, been bleeding for 3 days now. Had faint lines up until the other day, now that I’ve started bleeding the tests have just got darker and darker. Also feeling so sick and tired just like my previous pregnancies.

I’ve had a few miscarriages so I really hope this isn’t another one but if it is then I’m not surprised. Thank you for the well wishes 💕

How did you get on? X

hayleyfx · 15/10/2018 11:11

Thank you @Patienceofatoddler 💕

@Ange211 the bleeding stopped a couple days ago and I’m still testing positive so have made a gp appointment to have a blood test done. Not feeling hopeful but will see how the tests go and update. Thanks for asking ❤️

Wishing you all the best.

I really hope this turns out well.

It can be very normal for some to have bleeding in pregnancy - Horrifically worrying but 'normal' for them.

Hope the Dr can provide some clarity x x
