So in my 12 week scan (NHS) they said my placenta was posterior and it says it in my notes too. I went for a private gender scan at 16w+3 and they said my placenta was anterior...can it really move like that?!

They do move as your uterus grows but I’m not sure if they can go from front to back.
I’m surprised they even mentioned placenta position at your 12 week scan tbh. They’ll look in detail at your placenta at your anomaly (I think 18-22 wks) scan so I honestly wouldn’t worry about it until then.

great thank you, my 20 week scan is at the end of the month so not long :)
