I'm nearly 39 weeks and for the last 2 days my lower back has hurt so much even when I'm laying down, can I use deep heat ? Did anyone els get really bad back pain towards the end ? :(

Unfortunately deep heat isn’t allowed nor are heat packs. The only thing that is allowed is a hot water bottle, bath and paracetamol. You have my sympathies, my back is in bits too Sad.

Also 39+1. Awful backache which makes me feel sick. Thought it might be that start of something. I.e baby dropping lower. I’ve been using the TENS machine I hired. That has helped.

Another 39 weeker with crippling back pain I get my husband to massage me with emu oil

Is it your first baby?
Most mums I know have ongoing issues with back pain because of pregnancy, lifting and carrying kids and equipment.
Doesn't seem to matter how much sport you do, it's never the same again afterwards.
Sorry
