Anybody else bleed after a bowel movement?

Absolutely hate this. And sorry if it's TMI.
I'm 10 weeks and 3 days, I've been on off constipated. I've had bleeding since the start of preganany and had a scan at 7 weeks and everything was confirmed as healthy and with a heartbeat, thankfully. It was an internal scan and when the probe was removed there was a lot of old, thick, black blood on it from the top of my cervix.
They told me not to worry and I've been doing my best not to and whatever happens, happens.
But, in the times of constipation if I strain to try and go to the toilet, I bleed, 100% from my vagina (sorry but it's definitely not out my bum). It's always red and sometimes has a few clots in and sometimes even some in the toilet bowl, as soon as I've finished on the toilet the bleeding has literally vanished. Nothing, not even a pink discharge on the paper.
Does anybody else have this.
I've read about a friable cervix though the midwives at the EPU never diagnosed me with one.
Everything should be fine, right?
There's no cramps and surely if it was something bad the bleeding wouldn't just stop. I'm just scared because everywhere says red blood with clots (they're not big) are causes for concern.

I’m 36 weeks now but from about week 6-11 I bled every single time I had a poo. I convinced myself at the 12 week scan that baby wouldn’t be ok but he was and he’s kicking away in my tummy now. I’ve been on and off constipated throughout but I haven’t bled since 11 weeks. Fingers crossed for you

I'm going for a scan tomorrow for a similar issue except it happens me every time I throw up.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 10/10/2018 19:48

Yes! I had this! It's because of increased blood flow/blood vessels to the cervix during pregnancy, and the strain of pooing causes them to burst.

I did! It freaked me out like crazy the first time. Luckily I had a scan the next day so my mind was put at rest.

Phew.
Thanks everyone.
I've tried to tell myself if it happens when I've been to toilet, don't worry about it.
Only worry if it happens randomly after a walk or just chilling. Its would be too much of a coincidence for the bleeding to happen at the same time as the BM to be anything too scary.

I did at 11 weeks and I'm now 35 weeks. It stopped at the end of my first trimester.

I had this during my first trimester and also when I was on the pill. It's scary but, as others have said, due to a friable cervix which is often a used by the change in hormones. Obviously no one can diagnose you over the Internet, but if it's happening only when you go to the loo then I'd be inclined to believe that that's what it is. Still worth getting checked though for your own peace of mind.

I had this at around 13 weeks after straining when constipated. It was so scary. Although I'm now 30 weeks and all is ok, although I'll never forget the hell of first trimester constipation!
