Unexplained bleeding

Hi All,

New here and first time ever pregnant - had a bit of a scary experience the other day and thought I'd reach out for support. I'm about 8 weeks no scan yet, but has some unexplained bleeding the other day.. spent about 7 hours in A&E but they were unable to do a scan and can't get one until this Monday.

Praying everything is okay with baby... although not a planned pregnancy I would be so heartbroken should we lose this little one

Anyone been through anything similar?

Hi Lauren, I had a very large sudden bleed at 6 weeks - it was terrifying and I was sure I’d miscarried. Turned out it was a subchorionic haemorrhage, everything was fine and I’m now 18 weeks.

I had a bleed at 13 weeks with my DC2. Was convinced I was about to MC but when I had my scan the baby was there, kicking around happily. The US technicians said bleeding sometimes happens with no reason ever found. I had no other identifiable issues on the scan. My little nutter is happily throwing around his duplo, healthy at age 2 years. Good luck! Hope your situation turns out like mine 🌷❤️

I had a few small bleeds at 8 weeks and under (all fine) what was classed as a major bleed at 14 weeks (blood everywhere) baby was fine and then continued bleeding throughout my pregnancy. I work kieni panicked every time and spent a lot of time being checked in hospital but my baby is now 3 months old and happily playing on his playmat. Some people just have unexplained bleeding during pregnancy.

I had bleeding for a day here and there and passed a small clot at about 8weeks with my dd (now 2).
After that nothing, it was a breeze.
This time I had some spotting at about 8ish weeks for a couple of days, took it easy because I'd had two consecutive mc before that, then woke up to a ton of blood a few weeks later, assumed another mc, didn't rush for a scan, but baby was in there happy and healthy with no evidence or reason to the bleed dating at 10weeks. Had some heavier spotting and a huge clot for a few more days and nothing since! Still feeling movement and had my 20week scan and all is great.
