Is it obvious when your bump drops?

Hi All, I am 33+3 and yesterday I caught myself in the mirror and my bump which has always been pokey looked saggy. It feels and looks like its now hanging more, less like a bump and more like a fat belly! Weird. I then woke up today and feel like there's suddenly a lot of pressure in my vagina.

I dont have any before pics which is annoying so I cant compare, so from what I have described, does it sound like it has?

Also, does it actually mean anything? Could I still be here come 41+5?

Thanks x

I never noticed mine dropping it was always other people telling me it had. Even when I was told I couldn't see it.
From what you have described regarding pressure it sounds like baby is moving lower down which is normal. My first moved down and within a week I was in labour. My second dropped down and kept going in and out for weeks and he was born 41 weeks.

Yes, it sounds as if the bump has dropped ! The pressure on your vagina is the baby's head burrowing down , getting into position. And yes it does mean that everything is happening as it should. With a first baby ( which I assume this is), you can expect to go into labour in about 4 weeks. I doubt you'll still be waiting at 41 + 5 !

I never noticed mine dropoing(3 pregnancies) but my bump changed often at the later stages just depending on how baby was lying.

Always expect to go to 42 weeks and then if baby comes sooner it is a bonus!

Mine dropped around 33 weeks - 4th baby. Everyone said (including my midwife and consultant) I'd get your bag packed, this baby won't make it's due date.
Due date came and went, 4 stretch and sweeps with no luck. I was induced at 41 weeks and 2 days.
Definitely doesn't mean anything except baby has moved further down.

I didn't notice mine drop at all last time, but others noticed theirs, said they didn't get as much indigestion and could eat again. I never had an issue with eating though, so maybe that is why I didn't notice!

I am currently 39 weeks +1 and my Bump dropped around your time but then it dropped again like 2 weeks ago so you might drop again xx

@meganc559 yeah i definitely feel like theres more room to drop, so maybe it will happen again closer to the time. Good luck! xx

I don't think mine dropped until after my waters broke one evening and i was admitted to hospital at 36+5.haha. We did loads of walking that day, a trip to Oxford. She hadn't engaged a few days before at my midwife appointment and My husband saif there was no pocket of water on her head like they told us about at nct if you get contractions before waters breaking.
