Hi, hope this is the right place! so I'm 22 weeks PG with my first baby and I'm also new to MN (been lurking for a while). I'm just after some advice. Basically, my BF is ASD, AS and ADHD (controlled by medication) and we are being doubted by a lot of people about our ability to be parents. People have been so rude as to say "you've chose him to have a kid with?" and it's really winding me up! I know he will be a good dad, he is fantastic around other children and people seem to think him being hyperactive is a bad thing? Which IMO it's a godsend. I've worked with SEN children since I was 19 and im very well trained in the area yet I still have the odd few people that say "what if your daughter ends up like him?"
It's started to really grind on me so i just want to gather a few opinions on here hopefully from people who have been in similar situations?

No advice but congratulations on your pregnancy and sorry for the comments you're dealing with - people can be unbelievably rude about some stuff Blush
