helpso confused people tell me preganancy is 9 months but does nt it really count out to te months i am 26 weeks so how exactly far gone on am i x

Pregnancy lasts 40 weeks. If you count a month as 4 weeks you could say this is 10 months! You´re 6.5 months gone, I think.

13 weeks being 3 months
(that's how the tax calendar works!)

so you are 6 months

40 months from the date of your last period, not 40 weeks from the positive test btw

13 weeks is because if you split 52 weeks into 4 you get 13
split 12 months into 4 you get 3

so 13 weeks = 3 months

40 wks from last period so the first two of those may well be prior to conception LOL. Count backwards from your due date for months - the nearer you get, the more people will be interested in the time you have left.

More seriously it's 40

BUT

The first two weeks of it you aren't pregnant (day 1 is the day after your last period began, most women become fertile approximately mid cycle hence approx 14 days after a period begins)

Two weeks of it are effectively 'accomodating' our calendar. That is there are 52 weeks in a year not the 48 you would expect if there were actually 4 weeks in a month.

Except sometimes it's a damn sight longer - ds was 16 days late. Boo.

35-41 weeks from conception depends on whether you brew short or extra long.

ok so that makes me 6.5 months then. god its so complicated is nt it. i wind y self up with all this calender counting. i have 12 weeks left on sunday

I looked at it yesterday and it told me I was 6.9 months pregnant!! (I have 10 weeks to go). Not sure how scientific it is.
