Blood and pain when weeing

Hi all,

I’m 20 weeks, this morning there was blood when I went to the toilet. I couldn’t figure our if it was vaginal or urine, been to be checked out, all seems fine and no uti.
I’ve come back home and twice been for a wee and it’s stung, so now I’m certain the blood was from the wee. Anyone had this where it’s come back as clear of infection with the urine test? Can’t understand how it’s clear if it’s stinging.
No appointments at my local surgery today so just racking my mind with worry as not much I can do today.

You should go to A&E sounds like a nasty uti or contact the midwives (number on your hosp notes) and explain theres no appts at gp available they wouldnt want you to wait. Either should see you there for it as your pregnant and theyll want to make sure you get any infections dealt with x

If it's early then the dip stick can be unreliable in picking up the infection. I'd go personally. In the meantime drink loads of water - the more you pass, the less it stings.

Please don't go to A&E with this. Your GP surgery nurse or a MIU can deal with what is obviously a UTI (I'm assuming you saw your midwife to get the baby checked?). Your GP surgery is obliged to give same day appointments.

I didn't mean a&e, totally unnecessary. I'd go back to your midwife or maternity assessment.
