Anyone else wheezy?

I know your breathing can be a struggle but I wondered if this is a usual symptoms or asthma? I had asthma before and this feels similar but I grew out of it....

likely to be both. you have reduced space for your lungs to expand when pregnant.

if you have history of asthma though it would be worth seeing your GP

Wheeze is spawning if your airway - pregnancy wont do this so it's your asthma. Go to the gp x

hoping2018 · 07/10/2018 21:58

Spasming not spawning! Lol

I might be wrong but I don’t think at 20 weeks your uterus is high enough to interfere with lung space. I think that’s more the last 2 months

Baby160P · 07/10/2018 22:02

Ok thanks. I'll book tomorrow. Hoping it won't do the baby harm?

@RLOU30 dd was causing my asthma to go into overdrive from about 16 weeks, little sod decided my lungs were football practice! The space will depend on the OP's build and the size of the baby.

@Baby160P I have severe asthma, am on ridiculously strong drugs for it - more commonly associated with COPD. The only thing I had to give up was Montelukast. Standard asthma meds are perfectly safe in pregnancy, try not to worry! Chances are it is the change in the weather and the cyclic nature of asthma
