Braxton hicks painful or not?

Just that really!
Im having Braxton Hicks every now and then. FTM @ 36+4.
Some people say braxton hicks feel like dull period pain and are more 'uncomfortable' and should not be painful.

In my experience, these BH are fucking painful! And i am shitting my pants when i think of my natural vaginal birth without epidural! Fuck my life!

Am I a wimp or does anyone feel the same ??

I had BH. They were not painful. I could feel them, yes, but they did not cause pain

With my first baby I had very painful BH for 2-3 weeks before the real thing. Real thing was much worse though- sorry to report!

Not at all op. I had very painful BH, had an emergency section with dc1 after getting to 5cm nothing I experienced was more painful than the BH. Then with dc2 I had induction with the drip still not more painful than BH.
You’ll be fine, in my experience BH are bloody painful

@sweetpotatoaddict, thanks for your kind words. Its calming me down a little.
Still shitting my pants though. Other women seem to be stronger than I am.
Nothing I can do about it. Blush

Birth is different. You have a focus, and support. Yes, it's very painful, but lots of people do it more than once.

I found it helpful to tell myself "I'll do one more contraction, then I'll ask for the epidural". And before I knew it, it was all over.
