Baby below 10th centile at 28weeks

Hi,
I was wondering if any of you would kindly share your experiences with me. I had a growth scan yesterday because my first born was an IUGR baby and a preemie, and we found out that this baby is also small for gestational age and again below the 10th centile. Whats worrying me is that the Dr I got referred to after then scan just said she was 'going to leave us alone' and just see me again in 3 weeks for another growth scan. Is this the norm now? I had constant monitoring from the day we found out our son was below the 10th centile, and they still missed that he'd stopped growing and that I ended up with pre eclampsia. Should I bring this up with my consultant who I'm seeing on Monday?

Congrats on the baby.

Defo speak to your consultant but three weeks will give the baby a good growth stint and when they scan you next may decide to up the number of scans or decrease them.

My little one was scanned at 28weeks and then not due for another one at 36 weeks. My little one was very small. Ended up coming at 35 weeks.
My SIL was scanned every few weeks. Baby put on weight and less monitoring needed.

I had growth scan at 31 weeks. Baby was small at 28 week appointment and pretty much dropped off the scale by the 31 week appointment -well below the 5th measuring bump alone. It was quite scary, the midwife was very serious and wished me luck as I left for the hospital! Growth scan showed baby was actually closer to 15th, still small but doing OK. I was scheduled for a 2 week follow up which will be this Tuesday. It’s been a long 2 weeks! I’ve tried to focus on the movements of baby, knowing they are regular has helped me reassure myself and to be honest the midwife and the ultra sound lady at my growth scan were very reassuring, they made me feel like my situation was not unusual and something that they had totally in hand, I took a lot of comfort from that.

yes. I was left for 2 weeks when i was 26 weeks and again at 28 weeks then 30. since 30 weeks i have weekly scans, 1 week for growth the other for blood flow and liquor volume. They need at least 2 weeks to measure growth

My first totally dropped off the chart too, and was born on the 0.2centile at 35weeks. I'm just worried that I was in twice a week with him for traces, and blood flow and liquor volume every other Friday with a growth scan inbetween. Yet it was still missed that he had stopped growing, and id already gone into spontaneous labour. Yet with this one everything seems so vague 🤷‍♀️
