High HCG

Hey,
We're 6 weeks pregnant after a year and a half trying.
I did one of the tests that tell you how many weeks at 3 (yes I know, early tester haha!) and it calculated that I was 5+

There's no chance at all we could have conceived the month before, so I'm not overly concerned that I'm having a molar pregnancy.

Has anyone else experienced high HCG this early on and had a healthy pregnancy?

This meant to say 'now overly concerned'

HCG levels vary so much you don’t need to worry (google a scale of levels at different weeks gestation - the range is massive and overlapping)

I had this with irregular periods and had no idea how many weeks I was. Got a scan showing uncertain viability (because they could see very little). As it turns out I was just v v early (despite the 3+ on the stick)

I thought twins!

My hCG was 46,000 at 5 weeks 5 days - normal singleton pregnancy. Levels can vary massively between women even at the same stage of pregnancy, that’s why there’s no set guide as to what they should be.

If you’re referring to the Clear Blue tests they are only intended as a rough guide and measure as “3+” anything over about 2000.

My HCG at 8 weeks ish was completely off every scale. I read so many things on the internet that made me worry but nothing explained it particularly. I did have a big baby though!
