Can’t stop getting tearful

So last week and a bit I can not seem to stop getting tearful. Was diagnosed with gestational diabetes last week, and also carpal tunnel in my wrist. Just feel so fed up, as well as an ongoing battle with work over mat pay entitlement. Hardly slept last night, and today hubbys friend is visiting so I need to be socialable later when all I want to do is hide under the duvet. Feel like I am going mad! Is this normal to feel like this? x

Pregnancy can do that and I am on a Facebook page for gestational diabetes mums which I recommend! Lots of us have had a similar reaction to diagnosis ,hope you feel better soon

I always feel like crying throughout this pregnancy!
At literally anything! My boyfriend does something cute - cry. Does something to annoy me - cry. Cute dog on tv - cry. Over tired - cry.
Or just feeling like I need to cry! I worry a lot which results in tears or near tears!
It’s embarrassing!

I'm the same. I feel stupid because a few weeks ago I was telling everyone how surprised I was that I was feeling so good and emotionally stable but now I feel awful to be honest. I'm 22 weeks and constantly feel on the edge of tears and also can't find the energy to be around people. I feel a bit like I do on the pill which I cannot take as it makes me so depressed. Bloody hormones Sad

Yes it’s normal but doesn’t make it any easier to deal with does it Sad I have found that tiredness and pain make things worse - so try and sleep when you can and take paracetamol If you need to. I was diagnosed with spd at 30 weeks which was a shock as I’m quite underweight and active normally. I also have a 3 year old who woke at 5 today and he’s the best little boy but my god I am tired. When do you finish work? I am hoping I feel better when I am resting a bit more!
