How many calories do you think you eat each day?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have gained about a stone and 4lbs so far. Each day I start with good intentions and then fall off the wagon massively. I was pretty healthy with my diet before pregnancy and now I'm eating a lot of chocolate and sugar. I know I should make healthier choices but I'm working long hours and relying on sugar to get me through.

Before pregnancy my BMI was 18.5 so on the low side of normal. My calorie intake each day must be at least 2,500 probably more Blush

Is this normal? I suspect not...

Completely normal!

I wouldn't even attempt to count my calorie intake, I dread to think!

I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant and have gained 3lbs already - on 1800 cals a day (or 100 either way). I have no idea if this is normal or not but it sounds like you needed to gain a little and have gained a healthy amount of weight for your gestation. If in doubt, always speak to your midwife!

I'm 38+3 and have only put on 3 1/2 stone my whole pregnancy. Very pleased with my BMI! I was a size 10 before and now 14-16 because of pregnancy but I eat whatever whenever! I am addicted to Jaffa cakes! Good luck x

My bmi was 18 before pregnancy and I'd gained the same as you at 26 weeks. I'm now 31 weeks and have gained nearly 2 stone but I somehow don't look massive.

I would relax, I think it's best not to count calories while pregnant because it's sometimes hard to accept calorie regulation in conjunction with weight gain. Accept the weight gain and be reassured that it's perfectly normal because your little one is growing fast, you're carrying 50% more blood, the amniotic fluid and placenta carry additional weight, etc.

All of them.

No seriously, I think that sounds fine !
I have put on about 3.5 to 4 stone (am 40+1) and a fair bit if it is fluid.

I put on 3.5 in last pg and was 1.5 st lighter two weeks after the birth.
