Evening primrose oil pregnancy

Has anyone orally taken evening primrose oil during the end of pregnancy ?
Did it help to soften the cervix? And is it safe ?

I took it orally and vaginally from 37 weeks... It did nothing to me at all. I had to be induced and ended up with an emergency C section.

I wouldn’t suggest putting anything in to your vagina at the end of pregnancy- you could introduce infection

@Jellybean100 I was planning to take it orally but I don't think there's enough research yet to prove anything so maybe I won't bother I've started taking raspberry leaf tablets so hopefully they do something
