Had my 34 week appointment yesterday at 34 weeks exactly.
My midwife measured me as she normally would and the bump measurement only came up as 32
I’ve been measuring exactly during this pregnancy (31 at 31 weeks ect) since measurements have been taken.
With my other children I always measured 2cm ahead so this is odd for me anyway

A referal was sent over to the consulatant for review and possible growth scan. Was told I’d receive a letter for an appointment if needed
The hospital called at 4pm on the same day (midwife appointment was at 12pm) to book me in for a scan on Tuesday and it’s really unnerved me how quickly it’s been arranged, wasn’t expecting to hear back untill next week at the earliest if at all

I’m really anxious about everything this time round so I have probably wound myself up, just wondered if anyone had a similar issue ?

-i understand the measurements aren’t 100% accurate and could just be down to babies position ect. It’s the quick turn around for a scan that’s spooked me more than anything

Thanks in advance

Well there's not really much point in growth scans in late pregnancy unless they take place quickly. When I had a routine growth scan I got the appointment through same day as well. I think that's standard.

32cm is actually within the normal range for 34 weeks so I'd guess the only reason they're even referring you is your history of measuring bigger. Don't panic.

When I was originally referred with my first pregnancy it happened really quickly, possibly even same day at 28 weeks - it seems to be the way with growth scans.
