I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my fourth and suddenly I feel the need to know about hospital policies on intervention for extremely premature babies. A friend has just informed me that the hospital I birthed at last time wouldn’t intervene with a baby born before 26 weeks. How can I easily find what hospital policies are as they all seem to be different. I have a choice of about 5 hospitals so if the worst happened at least I would know that I gave my baby the best chance. Sorry for the morbid post but I’d be kicking myself if I ever found myself in this situation and chose the wrong hospital.
