Hi, I'm 22+2 and have noticed baby's not moving around as much over the past couple of days. I get so busy at work that I've only really processed this now. She usually moves a lot at night and the past two nights she hasn't really. I've just had a Google and the advice is to get checked ASAP. I've rung the labour ward and they asked me to come in in an hour - any reassurance/advice in the meantime? :(

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It’s really early, chances are it will be absolutely fine. You lose the feeling of the movement all the time in the early days - doesn’t even mean they’re not moving. They’ll check the heartbeat. I’m sure all will be fine x

I was quite chill and suddenly the anxiety has crept up on me.

I had very similar with DD1 when I was about 30 weeks - we'd had a hectic weekend away and I just hadn't noticed any movements. I also went in to be monitored at about 38 weeks as I hadn't noticed any movements - needless to say she started doing somersaults once I was hooked up to the monitor! Hope it all goes ok.

I was always told to try a cold drink and lay on my left side and see if I could feel movement, best to go to the hospital they will check heartbeat etc xx

It’s orobably going to be fine, at that stage they can wriggle themselves round into a position where you don’t feel as much. Sensible to go in though.
