Just wondering if this is normal as I've heard your suppose to get a spurt of energy in the second trimester.

I'm 18 weeks gone with my first, I'm sleeping around 6 to 8 hours night but still feeling shattered. To try nd relieve this I go to bed for 2 hours in afternoon after getting in from work, cook tea and back in bed asleep for 9 or 10pm.

I'm struggling at work, when at home I can't be bothered doing anything, watching TV is a chore. I feel permntly jet lagged and are very clumsy and forgetful.

Is this normal if so please tell it will improve soon, it's making me miserable sleeping my days away!

I am exactly the same!! Just over 14 weeks. Currently writing this from my bed, as I’m about to go for my nap!! I can’t wait for the energy boost too, fingers crossed we both get one soon!! Xxx

Unfortunately, yes. Your body is sustaining another human, it's normal to feel drained.

Mention it to your midwife at your next appointment, get them to check your iron levels as anaemia can make you feel even more exhausted than normal.

Personally I have found that getting up and doing stuff makes me feel less tired than having a rest. When pregnant I have no drive to do anything but when I just do it I do feel better for it.

But we’re meant to be glowing and feeling sexy and full of energy...

I’m literally grey, can’t remember the last time I had sex and absolutely knackered all the time!

On iron 2x a day but it’s not improved anything. Everything aches. I don’t sleep. I’m clock watching all evening so I can go to bed at “a reasonable time”

Glowing and sexy what's that? Think I was that the last time we had sex and that was prob when conceived it's that long ago I can't remember.
