Hi all,

8 weeks and fed up with feeling like i have a ball of bread stuck in my throat. No pain, but the lump makes me feel sick on top of the morning sickness :(

Have tried Gaviscon, eating small meals, only drinking between meals and not lying down after eating but still feel crap. Any tips which actually work?

xx

Get some omeprazole from your doctor, it's a wonder drug!!

Ive been taking it since I was 7 weeks (currently 17) and not had one flare up since.

Ah really, that's good to know, thanks.

Avoid mince pies at all cost. I ended up with burning acid sick in my throat for a day after. Obviously stop eating a few hours before you go to bed.

Stop eating whatever it is that gives you reflux?! At 8 weeks it's not going to be the size of the baby causing the problem so likely to be what you're eating!

Get a "reflux pillow", ie a rubber wedge pillow which elevates your head about a foot above the rest of you. They work wonders.

Thanks for that @fatted clearly no correlation between new pregnancy and getting reflux for the first time ever Hmm

It's every single thing I eat.
