NAUSEA AT 14 WEEKS

Hi everyone. I just wanted to know other people's experiences with morning sickness and nausea? I'm nearly 15 weeks now and the nausea has not calmed down at all - I'm completely off chicken now too. Nothing seems to be helping, I haven't really been sick much it's just the nausea it's knocking me out and working full time as a support worker I'm really struggling. When did everyone's clear up? Or did it at all?

Thanks guys :)

I’m sorry but if you want honest answers I felt sick up until 23 weeks. Now all I have is the tiredness that never went away from the 8 week mark for me .

emilyanne96 · 05/10/2018 10:50

@HellaFresh yeah I've heard lots of different stories. It's so frustrating and it's making me panic because if I'm struggling to eat obviously baby is not getting much. How far are you now? X

Mine always lasts right through pregnancy. Sad

Have you spoken to your GP? You can get anti-sickness medication on prescription that really helps.

Unless you are severely underweight or suffering from HG baby is taking your fat and is fine. It’s you that will suffer so please don’t worry TOO much about baby.

That said, are you having 16 week appt you can talk to midwife about it then. They can help you based on your physiology and you as an individual.

I’m 25 weeks now and this pregnancy was a surprise. I had money saved for a project that now isn’t happening, so I quit when I was 20 weeks.

I only tell you this in case you ask me ‘what did I do about feeling sick at work’

Up until I quit work too my mind off it at certai points which got me through.

I always had dreadful nausea up to 14-15 weeks, 14 being the worst. By 16 weeks I felt much better with niggles of nausea here and there until 20 weeks but they were just that, little hints of nausea.

I couldn’t even look at meat my entire pregnancy with DC1. For me it was at it’s worst in the evening, the nausea- just as I’m cooking for everyone else! 🤢

Sympathy hugs! Time should ease the nausea. But in between, try crackers, lemon and ginger tea, soft white bread. I never found the magic bullet. But gentle snacks and giving into my cravings helped. It’s tough though. I hope it passes for you soon!

Congratulations! SmileFlowers

I never knew an energetic pregnancy. I was always wiped out from start to finish. I feel your plight (I’m not pregnant now but remember the 8 week exhaustion NEVER lifting off). How are your iron levels?

madmother1 · 05/10/2018 11:08

Puked up every morning for 27 weeks!!! Sorry

kmreeve · 05/10/2018 11:09

I started to notice it tail off about 16/17 weeks.. I'm 22 weeks now and it's pretty much gone. Just left with the tiredness all the time. Xx

booandbumpp · 05/10/2018 11:13

36 weeks + 5 days. Still throwing up. Sorry!
Baby is small for other health reasons but whenever I tell a midwife or consultant I'm throwing up they always say that "baby will take what he needs from you".
If you start struggling to keep down any food or water for a day ring up as they'll check ketones levels in your urine and probably get you on a drip to rehydrate.

HellaFresh · 05/10/2018 11:14

Thanks Vanguard- I don’t know about iron levels I’ve got 24 week appt next week. Was missed this week as midwife on holiday and I can ask about that then.

Thanks for your replies everyone I feel much better and not as alone as I have been feeling. I've managed to eat a bit more than normal today so I'm feeling a bit more positive hopefully I keep it up haha.

The only thing getting me through and not totally going insane is that if I'm feeling sick it means I'm pregnant which is what I've wanted for so long Smile

Hope everyone is okay xx
